1. What is the total fee for the PGDM Programme?
 
Programme fee for the PGDM batch 2024-26 is 7.65 lakh. Besides the programme fee students have to pay for the Mess, Hostel, and Books. All students must possess a Laptop.
 
 

2.Is PGDM Programme approved by AICTE?

Yes, the PGDM programme offered by CIMP is approved by AICTE.

 

3. Is PGDM Programme accredited by NBA?

Yes, the PGDM programme offered by CIMP is accredited by NBA.

 

4. Is PGDM Programme equivalent to MBA?

Yes, Association of Indian Universities has recognised PGDM Programme offered by CIMP as equivalent to MBA.

 

5. Is PGDM Programme in CIMP affiliated to any university?

No

 

6. Is 100 percent placement achieved for the previous batches?

Yes, 100 percent placement achieved. All the graduating students of previous 10 batches got placed successfully.

8. What is the eligibility criteria for selection in the PGDM Programme?

Any Indian National with 50% aggregate marks in graduation (45% for SC/ST/DA*) can apply. Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation and expecting to complete all the requirements including sitting through the examinations for the award of Degree before 30th June, 2024 may also apply.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) on their chosen interview centre.

 

9. What are the qualifying exams for admission to the PGDM programme?

The Institute accepts CAT 2023, XAT 2024, MAT 2023 & 2024, and CMAT 2024 scores for admission to two-year full-time residential PGDM programme for the batch 2024-26. Applicants are expected to provide test score for one of these qualifying exams.

 

10. Can I submit the application form without the CAT, XAT, MAT or CMAT scores?

Yes, you may submit the form initially without CAT 2023, XAT 2024, MAT 2023 & 2024, GMAT, and CMAT 2024 scores. But you have to pass one of the exams to be considered eligible for the admission process. Once you have received the score kindly email the score to admission office at admission@cimp.ac.in.

 

11. What is the process of applying to the qualifying exams - CAT, XAT, MAT and CMAT?

12. What is the selection process?

Shortlisting of the candidates will be done on the basis of Test scores (CAT 2023, XAT 2024, MAT 2023 & 2024, and CMAT 2024) and criteria like the previous academic record and relevant work experience.

Shortlisted candidates would be called to attend Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI) during March 2024. Applicants will be informed about the GD/PI schedule through emails/phone.

The final merit list would be prepared after considering weighted scores of various components like the Academic record, Test score, Work experience, Performance in Group Discussion & Personal Interview. Final offer of admission would be declared in the third week of April 2024.

13. How can I apply for the PGDM Programme?

Application Form and Admission Brochure can be obtained from the Institute by paying Rs. 1000/- [Rs. 500/- for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Differently Abled (DA)* candidates].

The Admission Form will also be available at the counter of CIMP on all working days from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Candidates may submit the Application Forms at the CIMP counter by hand or send the completed Application Forms by post.

Applicants can also apply online on our website (www.cimp.ac.in) along with online payment of the application fee.  

 

14. How can I pay the application fee?

You can pay the application fee by three modes

a) Cash – In case you buy the Application Form at the CIMP counter.

b) Demand Draft (In favour of Chandragupt Institute of Management, Patna) – Send the Demand Draft to CIMP, we will send you the Application form and Brochure by post. Alternatively, you can download the application form from CIMP website and send the application form along with required documents and Demand Draft to CIMP.

c) Online Payment (through master/visa card of any registered bank, Internet Banking) – In case you apply online on our website www.cimp.ac.in.

 

15. What specialization are offered by the Institute?

CIMP offers specialisation in Marketing, Finance, IT, Business Analytics, OB & HR and General Management.

 

16. Do I need to indicate my area of specialisation while applying for the PGDM programme?

No

 

17. Are students required to stay in the campus?

PGDM Programme offered by CIMP is a two-year fully residential programme. Students have to stay in the campus during the programme.

 

18. Is it necessary to have work experience to apply for the PGDM Programme?

No. It is NOT mandatory or a prerequisite to have work experience for PGDM programme.

 

19. What is the total number of seats available for PGDM Programme?

120

 

20. What is the qualifying entrance test score?

As of now there is no cut-off for the test scores.

 

21. Can I reschedule my GD/PI date?

No

 

22. Can I take admission using sports quota?

No

 

23. Will CIMP help students in getting bank loan?

Yes, CIMP will help students in getting education loan from the leading nationalised banks. This will, however, be subject to the ability of the candidate to fulfil the terms & conditions of the respective bank.

 

24. What are the scholarships available to the students?

CIMP facilitates the education of economically backward students through Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFW) as proposed by AICTE. The proposed scheme will be applicable only to the students having parents’ annual income (from all sources) less than Rs. 8.00 lakhs. The total number of seats under this category will not exceed 5% of the total intake of the students.

Under Meritorious Girl Student Scholarship (MGSS) scheme, scholarship will be given to top 3 girl students securing place in top 10 positions in the batch, every academic year.

 

25. When will the next academic session start?        

Academic session will start in July 2024.

27. What is the reservation policy followed by Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna?

The institute follows reservation policy as prescribed by the Government of Bihar for educational institutions. The break-up of reservation policy is as follows:


Scheduled Castes – 16%

Scheduled Tribes – 01%

Extremely Backward Class – 18%

Backward Class – 12%,

Women of Backward Class – 3%. 


Amongst all the categories, 50% of the total seats would be reserved for students who qualify as a Domicile of Bihar (permanent residents only) and 4% of the total seats for Persons with Disability (PwD).

 

 

28. How can I get the details of the faculty members teaching in CIMP?

CIMP has a pool of highly qualified and experienced faculty members, most of them being alumni of reputed institutions like IIMs, IRMA, IITs, ISI Calcutta, XLRI and NITIE. The institute also gets mentoring support from an eminent Advisory Council comprising Professors from IIMs and other leading business schools from India and abroad.
