Established in 2008, the state-of-the art Library Resource Centre (LRC) at Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) is the heart of CIMP’s teaching, learning and research activities with access to most of the referred databases of the world. The fully-automated library is powered by Virtua Library Management software and RFID Security systems and has the facility to access e-resources 24x7 within and outside the campus. The primary mission of the LRC is to actively engage and enhance learning and research by providing a flexible and stimulating study ambience through seamless and Real-Time Access (RTA) to high quality information resources. The LRC aims to develop a comprehensive collection of Knowledge Enhancing Tools (KETs) for the students, faculties and the research community of the institute. The LRC stocks books, print periodicals, newspapers (print & online), government publications, Harvard classic collections, Handbooks and non-book materials, including CDs received with books, Business Management videos and audio collection.

The Library has the facility to access e-resources from Harvard Business Publishing, an independent unit of Harvard Business School; Students can access more than 8000+ full text journals titles from databases like Harvard Business Publishing, Emerald, EBSCO, Jstor and Sage. The library also subscribes to business databases such as CMIE-Prowess and indiastat. Numeric Data Services (NDS), a part of the Library Reference Service (LRS) provides help to find data to analyze for student and faculty research, data management and analysis using statistical software, especially SPSS, AMOS, Clementine, Stata7, and EViews. Additionally, it arranges classes, workshops or demonstrations of any of the above services for faculty and students.

The Library Resource Centre provides a host of User-Centric Services (UCSs) such as, Self-Automated Circulation (SAC), RFID Security System, Periodicals, e-Journals databases, Reference Services, User Orientation Service (UOS), Document Delivery Service (DDS), New Arrival Alerts (NAA), Media Alerts, Knowledge Repository Service (KRS), Current Content Service (CCS), WEBOPAC, On-line Reservation Service (ORS), Bibliographic Service, Photo-copying, Printing and Scanning, Virtual Reference Service (VRS), Ask-a-Librarian, Statistical Data Services (SDS), and a prompt Expert Support Service (ESS).
