WILP - PROJECT APPRAISAL AND RISK ANALYSIS
The WILP on Project Appraisal and Risk Analysis at CIMP is designed to equip participants with practical skills in project appraisal and risk analysis. Currently public domain officials are endowed with wider array of projects from multiple funding agencies in various domains in tandem with the explicit pattern in private sector. It is highly challenging to understand and address the problems of Government projects, execute them phase wise, and give them a final touch with multiple conflict from various stakeholders. It is often expected that public domain officers should sensitize with social cost and appraise it through proper risk analysis and take a rational decision. This WILP will tend to cover the various aspects of project appraisal and risk analysis in holistic decision making process.
This WILP will cover the following aspects in detail.
- What is policy framework in project executive?
- Can we participate in project work?
- How do we decide the financial and operational feasibility of the project?
- What are the different stages of documentation with Government and banks’ consortium?
- Whether the risks are easily identified and appraised?
- Is it socially and economically feasible?
- What are the social, environmental and economic ramifications of the project?
- Can we exit out of the project?
This WILP (MDP) is tailored to suit the need of departmental heads, senior managers in corporations, senior engineering officials in public and private sector. It will also plug the gap between experience and formal learning to equip the participants for better and viable decision making. It is highly tailored to the needs of following stakeholders.

Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) has been established as an autonomous institution, with active support from the Government of Bihar in the year 2008. The Honourable CM Shri. Nitish Kumar happens to be the Chairman of the institute. It is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The flagship programme of the institute of accredited by NBA and approved by AIU. CIMP is in Management (Rank Band: 101-125) as per NIRF-2024.

The participants will get completion certificate, stating “successfully completed the requirements of WILP in Project Appraisal and Risk Analysis.”
