6th International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility (ICCSR)
The 6th International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility (ICCSR – 2026) will be organized by Chandragupt Institute of Management, Patna, in a hybrid mode on 10th and 11th December 2026 at Mithapur, Patna Campus. The theme of this year conference is “CSR 2.0-Learnings from Past and the Way Ahead”, the conference aims to bring together Organisations, and Individuals including academicians, practising managers, policy makers in the government, NGOs and all concerned from India and abroad to share their knowledge, expertise, and experience on various dimensions of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Conference Date: 10th and 11th December 2026
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has evolved over the years. Initially viewed as philanthropy or charitable giving, CSR has now become a strategic business function aligned with sustainable development and stakeholder value creation. Based on past experiences and emerging best practices, the concept of CSR 2.0 represents a new approach or a shift from compliance-driven spending to a more strategic, collaborative, and impact-oriented approach. Institutional arrangements for CSR should focus on measurable development outcomes, evidence-based decision-making, and continuous learning rather than focusing solely on financial expenditure.
The focus of CSR 2.0 should be based on innovation, sustainability, and shared value. The CSR initiatives should include emerging societal issues, including energy transition, waste reduction, biodiversity conservation, and climate resilience within their scope. CSR programs often ignore the voices of local communities, employees, and other stakeholders. This resulted in a lack of trust and transparency; there is a need for stakeholder engagement, and experience has shown that involving stakeholders leads to more relevant and sustainable outcomes.
Future CSR investments should be guided by clearly identified geographic priorities, such as aspirational districts, flood- and drought-prone regions, and neglected urban areas, alongside thematic priorities aligned with state development goals. A targeted approach will ensure equitable distribution of resources and maximise developmental impact. Future CSR initiatives should also address the needs of marginalized groups, including women, rural communities, persons with disabilities, and economically disadvantaged populations.
The Broad theme of ICCSR 2026 is “CSR 2.0-Learnings from Past and the Way Ahead.”

- Sustainable Development Goals
