Paris hosted this year's BID International Star for Leadership in Quality Convention, where professionals and business leaders from around the world gathered to recognize excellence and success. In particular, the convention celebrated quality in business and operations. Award winners demonstrated commitment to the criteria of the QC100 TQM Model, which helps bolster customer satisfaction and cost efficiency across all areas of operation.

Prof. Kalyan Aggrawal, receiving the prestigious European award for Best Practices 2013 organized by European society for Quality Research (ESQR) in Vienna, Austria on 8th December 2013, before representatives from 62 different countries, CIMP received the award for implementing quality management strategies in the organization.
Awarded "The Majestic Five Continents Award for Quality & Excellence", by association of Otherways Management and Consulting, France for quality and excellence in Geneva, Switzerland on 18th November, 2013.
The Ex Director of Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), Dr. V. Mukunda Das has been bestowed upon an award by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and The Forum for Emotional Intelligence and learning for contributing significantly towards leadership development. The award recognizes the impact Dr. Das has had on societal development.
Dr. Das has been running several societal development programmes under the aegis of CIMP. CIMP's pioneering social initiative, known as Students Guidance Centre (SGC), strives to provide educational access to meritorious students from SC/ST/OBC and minority communities in Bihar. It provides free coaching to appear for CAT and other competitive examinations. Three students from SGC were selected for IIMs, While 18 others were selected in other reputed B-schools of India like IRMA,TISS and School of Management, Pondicherry. One alumni of SGC, Tarique-ur-Rahman, of IIM Lucknow, says “It is because of Dr. Das and SGC, that I have scaled such heights !”
“The Beautiful Mind”, yet another brain child of Dr. Das arranges free coaching and mentoring to students from nursery to std XII. They are the children of rickshaw pullers and labourers who now aspire to be doctors and engineers.
The Dr J J Irani Award for Education Excellence, named after Dr J J Irani, ex-MD Tata Steel , is awarded to Institutions excelling in education. The first Dr JJ Irani Award for Excellence in Education, was held in 2005 that aimed at bringing about an improvement in the schools of Jamshedpur, by raising the bar of teaching and adopting new learning methods. Some of the recipients of this award are TAPMI, which received it in the 27th year of its establishment, and Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research which won it in the 30th year of its establishment. CIMP made a remarkable achievement by getting this award only in the 4th year of its establishment. This year(2012) the award has been given to three institutes and CIMP is the only institute in India to have bagged the award.

Adding to its impressive list of awards and accolades, Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) has been conferred upon the prestigious International Arch of Europe (IAE) Award in the Gold Category, for its overall quality and excellence in education at a function in Frankfurt, Germany. Dr V Mukunda Das, Ex Director, CIMP, who received the award at the glittering function on April 28, 2013, said that CIMP has become the youngest business school in India to be awarded in the “Total Quality Management” category. Only some top Indian companies such as Indian Oil Corporation Limited (No. 83 in Forbes Global 2000), Reliance Industries Ltd (No. 99) and NTPC Ltd (No.337) have been recipients of this award in the past. Leading foreign companies that feature in the list, include ArcelorMittal (Luxembourg), Operadora VIPS, S. de R.L. de C.V., part of Walmart (ranked No. 2 in Fortune 500 list), SAFCO (Saudi Arabia), Korea Electric Power Co. (KEPCO) and COFCO (China). The IAE awards have been set up by Europe-based Business Initiative Directions (BID), a leading private organisation having members from 118 countries. CIMP, a brainchild of Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar, was earlier conferred upon the Dr. J J Irani Award for excellence in management education (Mumbai, November 2012) also, Dr Das received an award by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), in recognition of his significant contributions to leadership development (Mumbai, December 2012). CIMP also ranks among India’s top 50 management institutes.
To portray the status of higher education in the country, Ministry of Human Resource Development conducts an annual web-based All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) since 2010-11. Data is collected on several parameters such as teachers, student enrolment, programmes, examination, results, education, finance, infrastructure etc. Indicators of educational development such as Institution Density, Gross Enrolment Ratio, Pupil-teacher ratio, Gender Parity Index, Per Student Expenditure etc are also calculated from the data collected through AISHE.
In this connection, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, has released their report on All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) for the years 2010-11 and 2011-12. As per their database, Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) finds first place out of 5746 standalone institutes across the country, in terms of furnishing the required information at the earliest to fulfil their requirements.
