The Centre for Public Policy (CPP) at Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) is established concomitant with the mission of CIMP ‘to establish centres of research’ to evolve as an avant-garde public policy think-tank; engaged in policy research, analysis, debate, capacity building and consulting; catalysing fast-tracked, inclusive, and sustainable societal development.

Objectives of the Centre:

Innovation has become the buzzword in every facet of industrial and business life ensuring enhanced employment and productivity by making the different sectors of industry competitive .The health of a nation depends on the strength of its innovation systems as competitiveness of the industrial products cannot be ensured without a proper synergy of all the main players inculcated in an innovation system.The centre for innovation management envisions itself to be a platform for dialogue and capacity building for industries by teaching subjects relating to innovation in pgp class rooms /FPM /EXPM CLASSES AND MDP’S.

Centre for Appropriate Technology Management (CATM)

Objectives of the Centre:

Appropriate technologies are those technologies that are simple to apply, use local resources and labour, nurture the environment and human health and not capital intensive or energy intensive. They provide small scale, local and sustainable solutions to reduce poverty, promote healthy communities and protect natural resources. The objectives of the centre are:

  • To promote research in development, diffusion and transfer of technologies and processes that are appropriate to the resources and needs of disadvantaged communities, particularly rural, to find better ways to do things that will improve their quality of life
  • To organize academic workshops, seminars and conferences on appropriate technology for knowledge sharing

Objectives of the Centre:
