ABOUT CIMP CCS

The Centre for Case Study at CIMP is dedicated to developing and promoting high-quality case studies that enhance management education and research. It serves as a hub for faculty and researchers to create, publish, and disseminate real-world business scenarios addressing contemporary challenges. The centre collaborates with industry leaders to ensure relevance and authenticity, fostering critical thinking and decision-making skills among students. With a robust repository of cases across diverse disciplines, the centre supports experiential learning, encouraging students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations. It also conducts workshops and training to advance case teaching and writing expertise.

ABOUT CIMP

CHANDRAGUPT INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT PATNA (CIMP) is the first state sponsored institute setup by Government of Bihar on the lines of Indian Institute of Management. CIMP has been established as an autonomous institution by the Government of Bihar in the year 2008. The Honourable CM Shri. Nitish Kumar happens to be the Chairman of the institute. It is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The flagship programme of the institute is accredited by NBA and approved by AIU.


The Institute conducts the following major programmes:

  • Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)
  • Two-Year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGDM)
  • Two-Year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGDM-IEV)
  • Executive programme in management for Government officials (EXPM)
  • Management Development programme (MDP)
  • Faculty Development Programme (FDP)
  • Certificate Programme (CP)

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

We invite case studies that:

  • Address contemporary issues in business, management, and related disciplines.
  • Include detailed teaching notes and exhibit a clear pedagogical objective.
  • Are well-researched, original, and based on real or hypothetical scenarios.

Format for teaching case:

  • Title: A concise and engaging title.
  • Abstract: Brief summary of the case.
  • Learning Objectives: Clearly stated educational goals.
  • Case Narrative: Detailed story, including context, key players, and challenges.
  • Discussion Questions: Questions to stimulate critical thinking and discussion.
  • Teaching Notes: Comprehensive guide for instructors, including case analysis and suggested teaching strategy.
  • Exhibits and Appendices: Supporting data, charts, and other materials.

Format for research case:

  • Title: A clear and descriptive title.
  • Abstract: Overview of the research problem and key findings.
  • Introduction: Background and context of the research problem.
  • Research Objectives: Specific objectives or hypotheses being addressed.
  • Methodology: Detailed explanation of research design, data collection, and analysis methods.
  • Findings: Summary of key results and their implications.
  • Discussion: In-depth analysis and interpretation of findings.
  • Conclusion and Recommendations: Practical implications and suggestions for future research.
  • References: Comprehensive list of all sources cited.
  • Appendices: Supplementary materials, such as raw data, charts, or survey instruments.

Cases should be submitted in a Word document format and accompanied by a brief author biography. Submissions will undergo a rigorous review process to ensure quality and relevance.
